Sheet metal is between 0.5 mm to 3.00 mm thick. Sheets are manufactured using cold rolling technology. These sheets have a lower hardness of the material and higher plastic properties.
Sheet metal manufactured using the cold rolling method is in high demand in mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, construction, furniture production and even in the space sector. A cold-rolled sheet has several advantages:
- perfectly flat surface;
- the homogeneity of the alloy throughout its entire thickness;
- exact geometric proportions
The cold-rolled method allows the production of very thin sheets of material with low plasticity. The workpiece passes through the rolling mill without preheating, which also makes it possible to achieve high technical characteristics. The finished products are practically free of defects such as scale residue, sludges, scalings and rolling defects.
