Flat steel iron or strip. Hot-rolled steel product with a sheet-like cross-section. It is used in the industry for manufacturing of pipes, angles, profile materials and other products. The material is also widely used in construction, as a connecting or reinforcing element. There are two types of flat iron, i.e. flat iron of ordinary precision and flat iron of increased precision (calibrated). Further use allows for additional processing – drilling, perforating, galvanizing, thus giving the material additional properties.
The cold or hot-rolled steel strip has a straight-angle cross-section and is melted from different types of steel, from structural carbon to low-alloyed. It is the metal type that determines the physical and chemical characteristics of the product, its thermal resistance, its weldability and its flexibility.
Where can a metal strip be used:
- in the fields of electricity and electrical engineering;
- ship and aircraft prouction;
- construction;
- implementation of designer projects;
- in the furniture industry and in all types of construction.
The finished product is used as a component for the formation of enclosures, frames, lattice and anchor devices.
