Hexagonal bar is a very specific type of rolled metal product. It is a steel rod with a hexagonal cross-section of equilateral edges. Hexagonal bars of enhanced precision are obtained as a result of the cold drawing process. It is one of the most widely used rolled metal products. Areas of application: for the manufacture of fixtures (screws, nuts, washers), car manufacturing, construction, furniture manufacturing, heavy mechanical engineering, production of measuring devices (for use in medicine and science), food production plants, architecture and design.
A metallic profile with six edges is included in the rolled metal merchant bar products. It is a baseline moulding tool for the manufacture of rebars - nuts and bolts. Two basic types of hexagonal bars can be purchased:
- steel;
- stainless steel.
The metal is melted from a St45 + C carbon steel with specific parameters from 8 mm to 70 mm.
